- I was born in a village six miles away from New York. It was quite a nice place but there were a lot of those spiders with the tiny bodies and really long legs which, when they come off, kind of kick about still. I lived near the spiders for a few years until we moved to Wellington in New Zealand. More spiders here, but they were the strokeable bird eating variety. People in Wellington used these spiders in the same way that we use guide dogs, but obviously they use a different kind of harness. Not too many years ago, I moved to a converted lighthouse/windmill in Belfast and have loved every moment of it. I have written football reviews for the Belfast Telegraph, and had an agony aunt column in the Daily Planet. Both gave me the experience needed to make me a professional therapist. I have written a few books now, all self help and all of them, except ‘Can Tea Really Make You Invisible,’ have been a success. ‘Clown Love’ and ‘I wish I had Spiderman’s Arms’ shot to the number 18 slot in Amazon’s chart for unknown authors.
